The Respironics DreamStation Water Chamber is a device that holds water for the humidifier of the DreamStation CPAP and BiPAP machines. The humidifier adds moisture to the air you breathe through your CPAP mask, preventing dryness and irritation in your nose, mouth, and throat. The water chamber is compatible with all DreamStation models, such as DreamStation Auto and DreamStation Pro.
The water chamber is designed to be hand washed daily with mild soap and warm water. Once a week, the chamber may be washed on the top shelf in the dishwasher. The water chamber is easily accessible and removable. To remove the chamber from the humidifier, you just need to locate the thin tab on the top of the humidifier and gently push it forward to release the humidifier wall. Then, you can lift the clear chamber out of the unit. If the water chamber has been filled with water, be careful not to spill it into the device.
The water chamber has a capacity of 300 milliliters and can use tap, bottled, or distilled water. However, distilled water is recommended to avoid mineral buildup and prolong the life of the chamber. The water chamber also has fill lines that indicate the optimal water level for safe operation.
